Aspiran has been on the easy list since fading from view behind Power Of George at Eagle Farm in November.  The grey filly won a Rockhampton trial a fortnight before this first-up run and she raced right up to the $1.40 quote to win with ease.
Aspiran won three juvenile races at Callaghan Park last year and was beaten a length by Snippet Street at Eagle Farm when she came to town in August.
She is the first foal of 2yo winner Deena Nediym.  Second dam Golden Opportunity (No Mercy) is a half-sister to G1 AJC Galaxy winner Rich Fields Lad (Cerreto).
Deena Nediym has 2yo named Duncan (Bagger Vance) and she foaled an Afleetaffair filly last year.

Mocha Tart had been in the wars at Cluden Park in March.  First-up she sustained lacerations to her hind cannons and fetlocks and next-up she struck the running rail.  Chris Whiteley took over and gave the filly an easier trip to win by over a length. 
Mocha Tart is by former Queensland based sire King Ivor who was transferred to Dibden Park in South Australia.
Her dam Chocolate Tart is a half-sister to the Moonee Valley winner Tolomeo Ken (Kenmare), Eagle Farm winner Seguista (Marauding) and HK winner Happy Occasions (Kendor).  G1 AJC Epsom Hcp winner Excellerator (Marscay) is another close relation.  Chocolate Tart has a weanling colt by Hidden Dragon.

Liam Birchley has a formidable juvenile team this season headed by Paprika, Sarge In Charge, Capricorn 2yo Classic winner Arcup and now Sniplaz who has earned over $140,000 for connections after running his rivals into the ground at Eagle Farm.  He had priors at the Gold Coast (2) and Ipswich and will mature into a feature sprint winner of the future.
Sniplaz is by Clear Mountain Fairview sire Zaha (Kingmambo) out of an unraced half sister to G3 Sandown (UK) Solario Stakes winner Raise A Grand (Grand Lodge) who stood in Victoria for a one off season in 2002.
Sniplaz is a younger half-brother to the winners Reprendre (Mujadil), Prodigal's Return (Zabeel) and Wild Glow (Fantastic Light).  His dam's first foal Enfantillage (Catrail) has thrown the Deauville winners Samala. and Palampur.

Ice Dancing had been beaten 10 lengths at Mt Isa last September and there was nothing to suggest she would play a part at this meeting which is part of Julia Creek's Dirt n Dust Festival.
Ice Dancing started a $15 and won by two lengths.  She is by Oaklands Stud sire Pure Theatre from Ice Ballet, a half-sister to the dam of Macau HK Trophy (LR) winner Supreme Hero.  He had won races in Sydney and Brisbane under the name Sir Dan before being exported.
Ice Ballet has 2yo and yearling fillies by Pure Theatre and a weanling colt by Break the Vault).

Bubbled had not been sighted at the trials but she was kept safe at $7.  Jockey Kenny Pope was forced to cover ground on the filly and she overcame the wide run and lack of a raceday hit-out to score by three-quarters of a length.
Bubbled is raced by Fred Brown who stood Markane before the son of Red Ranson transferred to Eureka Stud.  Her dam Develan won the LR William Inglis Cup at Moonee Valley and she has since foaled MV winner Vault Of Gold (Made of Gold) and Tassie winner De Truce (Brief Truce).
Develan has a 2yo filly by Choisir and a yearling filly by Commands.

Craiglea Falcon was an impressive first-up winner at the Sunshine Coast before flying home to get within three lengths of Plain Magic at Eagle Farm second-up.  He returned to Corbould Park for another three length victory on Easter Sunday and his first city win is just around the corner.
Craiglea Falcon is by Glenlogan Park sire Falvelon and is raced by Dawn Falvey who also owned the sire. Craiglea Falcon's dam Craiglea Lady is a winning half sister to Listed Tasmanian Newmarket winner Well Timed (Tolomeo).   She has a yearling colt by Falvelon, a weanling half brother by Waterford Road (Danehill) and she was bred back to Falvelon last year.
