Five from Eight for Queensland

Queensland's most under-rated sire, Top Echelon has recorded yet another winner, with Ella Wisdom (pictured, Dan Costello Racing) beating a strong field in the F&M Class 6 Montrose Hcp (1400m) at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.

Rothesay then had the first leg of a winning double for Glenlogan Park, when Shotacross the Bow won the $100,000 QTIS 2yo Rent to Own Cars Hcp (1400m). That was the second win from just five starts for the David Murphy trained colt.

The second leg of the double came when Feltre won for Champion sire, Show A Heart in the C,H&G Class 6 Steve Venn Century 21 Hcp, also over 1400m. The smart 4yo gelding has now had 11 starts for five wins, two seconds and two thirds.

Another Whiskey saluted for former Oaklands Stud sire, All Bar One, in the $100,000 3yo QTIS White's IGA Hcp 1000m. The $66,100 prize takes his purse to over $100,000 with a record of three winds, three seconds and a third from fourteen starts.

And Lyndhurst's former Champion sire, Sequalo rounded out the card for Queensland when Iona Fast One won the Karalee Park Hcp. Brad Herne trains the 5yo gelding, who has had five wins, three seconds and three thirds from nineteen starts.
