Thoroughbred Welfare Initiative Submission

The deadline for submissions to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Welfare Working Group (TAWWG) is closing soon on the 24th July at 12:00pm AEST.

The TAWWG are keen to hear from anybody who wants to share their insight and views on how to improve thoroughbred welfare.

All submissions are valued and all will be read by a member of the panel.

If you are thinking of making a submission please first read the Issues Paper – this paper raises a number of questions that you may wish to address in your document. Read the Issues Paper here.

Importantly, you do not have to respond to all the topics raised in the issues paper. You might wish to cover off on a handful of the issues, or only one.
You might also wish to raise something that’s not listed in the Issues Paper – that’s fine too.

As for how long should a submission be? It really does not matter. We do not want page after page of writing for the sake of it; what’s far more important is that you have been able to clearly share your views on the subjects that are most important to you.

It may also help for you to share your experiences, and tell us why you hold the views you do. This will provide the TAWWG with the context that helps inform your opinions.

We also ask that you clearly put all your contact details on the submission as the TAWWG may wish to follow up for a chat at a later time.

If you have referenced any work or studies in your submission, it would be helpful to provide a list of them at the end of the document too.
